Session Proposal Instructions
The time allotted for Concurrent Sessions, Roundtables, and Posters is 50 minutes. The time allotted for Symposia is 90 minutes. Published works or second-time presentations should not be submitted. Selection is by review committee. All proposals must be submitted electronically no later than April 17, 2017. For those accepted, papers and summaries for the WRRCEA Conference Proceedings must be submitted by August 31, 2017 You are invited to submit a proposal for one of the following WRRCEA sessions: Concurrent Sessions Reports of completed research. Papers will be published in the digital conference proceedings. Audience participation, as a principle of adult education, is stressed. Research Roundtables Informal discussions of research in progress and research. A summary will be published in the conference proceedings. Several roundtable discussions will take place concurrently in the same room with each presenter assigned to a different table. Posters/Technology “Posters”* Informal, visual presentations of completed research or research in progress. A summary will be published in conference proceedings. Posters are an opportunity to advertise new research and to invite small group or one-on-one discussions. *Technology “Posters”: This is no ordinary session. It is the only session where you can showcase your unique use of technology and social media in international education. In fact, it is the only session where we DON'T want to see a poster but want to see laptops, tablets, and more telling us your technology and social media story. Symposia Diverse or conflicting perspectives on a compelling topic or issue that is or should be of concern to adult education practitioners. A symposium should NOT be merely a presentation of a related set of papers. Symposia will be published in the conference proceedings. Audience participation is encouraged.
